The first of County Hospital's five new wards has opened to patients today (Monday 27 June 2016). The new Ward 15, which cost £3m to build and replaces Ward 10, will support Elderly Care patients. Although the new ward is the same size, containing 28 beds, the environment will change hugely for patients and staff alike.
