The Independent Chairman of the Together We’re Better partnership of NHS and local government organisations in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent has been out and about this month visiting community hospitals in the north of the county.
Sir Neil McKay has spent the past few weeks visiting Leek and Cheadle community hospitals in the Moorlands, and Haywood and Longton hospitals in Stoke-on-Trent. He will be visiting Bradwell Hospital in Newcastle-under-Lyme in early May.
As well as receiving a tour, Sir Neil has also been meeting with campaigners at each hospital to listen to their views.
Sir Neil said: “I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to show me around each hospital and to those I met after each tour to hear what they had to say. It has been an extremely useful exercise; one that has provided me with a better understanding of the local health economy.”
Together We’re Better is a partnership of NHS and local government organisations that is working to transform health and care for the people of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
